Tenby Golf Foundation inaugural event.

The Tenby Golf Foundation provided a grant to the Ladies section to offset costs of running a 6 week ‘Introduction to Golf’ scheme for women. The funding not only allowed the Ladies to secure the time of Rhys but to induct the women in to the wider benefits of golf – the 19th Hole and the camaraderie and friendship circle it provides. Over 50% of ladies who joined the ‘Introduction to Golf’ scheme have now joined Tenby Golf Club as members – a stat that even Wales Golf is impressed with as it is over double the average.

A spokesperson for the The Ladies Section said ‘We would not have been able to proceed with this ‘Intro to Golf’ without the fantastic support of the Tenby Golf Foundation. To be able to welcome new members to our course and our community has been a real highlight of our year and we can’t wait to start a 2023 schedule with the Foundation to bring the benefits of golf to an even wider audience. And we know our new ladies will benefit fro the world of golf“.
